What is Facial Math, and how is it collected and stored?

Facial math is a mathematical representation of the key features of your face (like the distance between your eyes and other points on your face), which is used to verify it's you when you use facial recognition. We never store your photo.

In order to provide a seamless cross device experience and to increase the security of the system, we also keep an encrypted copy of your facial math on our very secure servers. When a server match is required, a mathematical template of the face is matched on the server. Promptly after, the template of your face is deleted.

Everything we store is encrypted with strong encryption and could never be used to reproduce your face.
